From Shanxi, made of poplar. Great color and details. There is also a cinnabar lacquer which has not been removed due to its historic presence. The simple apron and the head spandrels,have a beaded outline. The splayed legs with beads line are supported with front and side stretchers, giving the piece strength and stability, qualities esteemed by the Chinese.
